Last fall our furniture studio in Carbondale, Colorado burnt down. The cause is still unknown; the 100+ year old building housed over $100,000 in equipment and handmade furniture. My hope is that from the ashes of this tragedy a new opportunity will arise. I've been a furniture maker for over fifteen years now, and my desire is to bring the same quality and aesthetics of my custom, hand-made furniture to a line of products in order to make my pieces more affordable.X

About a month ago I signed onto a upholstery class at Anderson Art Ranch Center taught by Alphonse Mattia and Annie Evelyn. Two world class teachers and designers that have taught at RISD amongst other places. The class was a mixed bag of students from professional upholsters to mixed media sculptors to furniture-makers like myself. We had a blast.
